Fire Mist Sprinklers differ from traditional sprinklers primarily in the size of the water droplets they emit and their method of fire suppression. Traditional sprinklers release larger volumes of water through fewer, larger droplets, soaking the area to extinguish the fire. This can be effective but often results in significant water damage. In contrast, fire mist sprinklers emit a fine mist of micro-droplets.

This mist efficiently absorbs heat and displaces oxygen from the fire zone, extinguishing the fire more quickly and with much less water, significantly reducing water damage and water usage. This makes fire mist systems more environmentally friendly and better suited for protecting valuable assets and spaces where water damage must be minimised.
